As a Smart Buildings Technical Services Manager, you’ll shape how we design, deliver, and operate cutting-edge Smart Building projects, ensuring they perform, integrate, and adapt for the future. If you’re a technically driven professional with experience in smart building systems, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Smart Buildings Technical Services Manager. In this role, you’ll play a central part in shaping how we design, build, and operate innovative Smart Building projects, from early design and installation, through to digital commissioning, integration, and ongoing operational support.You’ll be the go-to technical authority, working with internal teams, clients, and delivery partners to create efficient, compliant, and future-ready building solutions. From BMS and EMS to lighting control, vertical transport, blinds, and IoT sensor deployments, your expertise will ensure every project delivers on performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.Day to day, you’ll lead on project governance, risk management, resource planning, and partner oversight — always with a focus on achieving high-quality outcomes and strong financial performance. You’ll also drive performance improvements across client portfolios, helping our solutions meet growing expectations around energy efficiency, system integration, and digital transformation.This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact in the delivery of intelligent building systems that enhance user experience, reduce operational costs, and support sustainability goals. Success will depend on your ability to collaborate across engineering, commercial, and operational teams, while engaging confidently with clients to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.What You’ll Be Doing
Own Smart Building projects end-to-end, from design and vendor management through to delivery, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance.Support new business opportunities by preparing technical proposals, bills of materials, and tender responses.Lead technical project management, ensuring compliance with Employer’s Requirements, design reviews, commissioning, FAT testing, and project close-out.Oversee Approved Partners, from appointment and briefing through to delivery, risk management, and HandS compliance.Plan and manage resources and budgets, maintaining accurate forecasts, KPIs, and cost controls.Champion quality and compliance by maintaining documentation, dashboards, trackers, and certifications.Engage with clients and stakeholders as the technical escalation point, presenting solutions and building long-term relationships.What We’re Looking For
Proven experience working with or as a Master Systems Integrator, with a strong understanding of Smart Building integration.Expertise with Secure MQTT, building data communications, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), including data migration to lakes.Track record in the design, installation, commissioning, and optimisation of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) across multiple platforms.Solid knowledge of the project lifecycle, from design development and cost planning to procurement, delivery, and maintenance.Experience integrating Operational Technologies (OT) such as lighting control systems, AV, electronic security, and IoT sensors (occupancy, air quality, energy).Strong understanding of industry standards and data ontologies (BRICK Schema, Project Haystack, DBO, ISO 19650, UDMI, BDNS).Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivery partners across complex projects.Knowledge of Smart building performance standards (WELL, NABERS, SmartScore, WiredScore) and how Smart technologies support compliance, analytics, and sustainability goals.Familiarity with LMG’s Smart ecosystem vendor partners, and ability to guide subsystem integration with Smart Building Platforms and middleware.What We Do For You
