About the Role

As Small Works Project Manager – Sprinkler Systems, you will oversee multiple projects from design review to commissioning, based in Birmingham with occasional UK travel. This full-time role, paying £55,000–£60,000 plus car allowance, 25 days holiday, and private health cover, requires leading compliant, high-quality installations within budget and programme. Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end project delivery, reviewing designs and hydraulic calculations against BSEN:12845 and FM standards, conducting site inspections, and coordinating with clients, contractors, and authorities to mitigate risks. The position demands strong technical oversight and stakeholder management skills to ensure timely, compliant outcomes for an industry-leading company.

Working for an industry leading company the successful candidate will lead multiple small works sprinkler projects from design review through commissioning, ensuring compliant, high quality installations delivered on time and within budget, based in the Birmingham/west Midlands with some UK travel.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
• Project delivery — Manage small works sprinkler projects end to end, maintaining programme, budget, and quality.
• Technical oversight — Review designs, hydraulic calculations, materials, and installation methods for compliance with BSEN:12845, FM standards, and internal guidelines.
• Site inspections — Verify installation quality and system performance.
• Stakeholder coordination — Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities; provide updates and manage risks.
• Cost control — Track budgets, manage variations, and negotiate with suppliers to maintain profitability.
Experience needed:
• Sprinkler system expertise in installation, design, and project management.
• Strong knowledge of fire codes and BSEN standards.
• Ability to read drawings, verify hydraulic calcs, and assess system buildability.
• Excellent organisation, communication, and multi project management skills.
• Project management or construction qualification (PMP desirable).
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving licence.
