Company Overview - Small Works Account Manager
Our client is a well-established provider of fire and security solutions, delivering high-quality installations and maintenance services to commercial and public sector clients. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to recruit a proactive and organised Small Works Account Manager to oversee the delivery of minor installation projects.
This role is ideal for someone with strong project coordination skills and experience in the fire and security industry (or similar technical sector), who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing multiple stakeholders.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will take ownership of small works projects from quotation through to completion, ensuring high standards, on-time delivery, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage a range of small installation projects across fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control, barriers, and shutter systems.
Planning and delivering small-scale installation projects to scope, on time and within budget
Coordinating with internal teams, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure project timelines are met
Communicating with clients to confirm project requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations
Creating and managing quotations and estimates through the company CRM system
Ensuring high standards of quality and compliance across all completed works
Monitoring project costs, resource allocation, and profitability
Supporting the scheduling team to arrange site works and engineer availability
Conducting post-installation reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues
Liaising with procurement to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in project coordination or account management within fire and security, construction, or a technical services environment
Working knowledge of fire alarms, intruder systems, access control or related systems (desirable)
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt to changing priorities
Commercial awareness and confidence working with budgets and quotes
Proficiency with CRM or job management software
Full UK driving licence
