Skip Wagon Driver

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced-Class 2 Skip Wagon Driver-to join a well-established company based in Darlington. This is an ongoing, full-time opportunity with the potential for a permanent position.-

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of skips from commercial and domestic customers while maintaining high standards of customer service, safety and professionalism.

Pay:

• -14.00 - -15.69 per hour
• Overtime after 8 hours: -18.62 - -20.87 per hour

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00am - approximately 4:30pm/5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 skip wagon safely and efficiently.
• Deliver and collect skips from commercial and domestic customers.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork and vehicle records accurately.
• Ensure all loads are transported safely and securely.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Comply with all drivers'' hours, Working Time Directive and health & safety regulations.
• Keep the vehicle clean and well maintained.

Requirements

• Valid-Class 2 (Category C)-driving licence.
• Valid-Driver CPC-and-Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous-skip wagon driving experience-or HIAB will also be considered
• Good knowledge of drivers'' hours and road transport legislation.
• Reliable, punctual and safety conscious.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
