First People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Skilled Welder to join our client''s aviation engineering operation at Prestwick International Airport, Ayrshire.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TIG Welder, or a candidate with strong TIG welding training, to take the next step in their career and develop specialist skills within the aviation and aerospace sector.The successful candidate will work within a specialist aircraft maintenance environment alongside experienced engineering and technical teams.About the OpportunityAs part of their continued growth, they are looking to appoint a skilled and motivated Welder to support aircraft component repair and maintenance activities.This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills within a highly regulated aviation environment, with full training provided.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Skilled Welder, your responsibilities will include:Carrying out TIG welding on aluminium, stainless steel, Inconel and titanium components.Maintaining a consistently high standard of workmanship.Working from engineering drawings and technical information.Completing all required maintenance documentation in line with company procedures.Assisting with the organisation, assessment and evaluation of repairs.Supporting the ordering and tracking of materials and spare parts.Working in accordance with company regulations, procedures and health and safety requirements.Working closely with experienced engineers and ..... full job details .....
