Machinist Competitive Salary PermanentAre you an experienced Machinist with strong conventional machining skills and experience working with engineering drawings?We are recruiting for an experienced Machinist to join a well-established engineering business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, time-served engineer who enjoys precision machining and working with a wide range of components and rotating equipment.The RoleYou will be responsible for machining new and used components to precise engineering tolerances, primarily using manual centre lathes, alongside other workshop machinery.Your responsibilities will include: Operating manual centre lathes to manufacture shafts, sleeves, spacers and similar componentsMachining cast components such as impellers, bearing housings and pump casingsUsing CNC lathes where requiredGeneral milling, including keyways and slotsOperating slotting machinery and vertical borersMachining valve bodies, pump bowls and pump casingsBalancing and machining impellersRemoving and replacing case wear rings and bushesMeasuring components accurately and working to engineering drawings and design tolerancesReverse engineering worn or damaged components using measurements and engineering principlesSupporting workshop fitting and occasional site activitiesWorking closely with colleagues to deliver a high-quality service to customersMaintaining excellent housekeeping and workshop standardsFollowing all health and safety procedures and company ..... full job details .....
