We are seeking to appoint a Sixth Form Student Supervisor and Behaviour Officer as soon as possible to join our team to work within our high performing Academy.Main Areas of Responsibility
The main purpose of the Student Supervisor and Behaviour Officer is to maintain a purposeful study environment in the Sixth Form Study Centre and Study Base through monitoring students and administering the study support system.For a full job description and person specification, please download the Job Pack.Qualifications and Experience
We would like to hear from you if you have:Qualifications to A Level or equivalentKnowledge of Microsoft softwareUnderstanding of health, safety and security requirements in a learning environmentAwareness of the SEN Code of PracticeFamiliarity with strategies to recognise and reward student achievements and self-relianceBasic first aid knowledge (e.g. emergency first aid course)Awareness of ADHD and other learning barriersUnderstanding of social issues affecting students from disadvantaged backgroundsAppropriate academic qualificationsTraining in reception proceduresKnowledge of academy behaviour systems, including detention proceduresTraining on Bromcom behaviour moduleAt least one year\''s experience working in an inner-city school or educational establishmentExperience in a similar role, supporting children in a classroom environmentExperience using IT to support students in the classroomExperience with reception duties and dealing with visitors professionallyExperience taking telephone messages from a range of stakeholdersExperience using Bromcom behaviour moduleExperience administering behaviour systems, including communication with parents/carers and staffFor a full job description and person specification, please download the Job Pack.Professional Development and Benefits
