Salary: £18.00-£20.00 per hour (DOE) + Door-to-Door Pay + Company Van

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Working Site Supervisor to join a growing specialist contractor delivering installation, refurbishment and maintenance works across the UK water industry.
This is a hands-on supervisory role where you''ll lead site teams while remaining actively involved in the work. You''ll primarily oversee projects involving aeration lanes at wastewater treatment sites, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Previous aeration lane experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training can be provided for the right candidate.
During quieter periods on aeration projects, you''ll also support domestic installation and servicing works, providing variety throughout the year.
The role is mobile, covering sites across the Thames Water and Southern Water regions, with occasional planned overnight stays.
The Role
As a Working Site Supervisor, you will supervise and support site teams whilst carrying out installation, maintenance and refurbishment works. You will ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards while maintaining excellent relationships with clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
·Lead and supervise site teams across wastewater treatment projects.
·Remain hands-on and actively participate in daily site activities.
·Oversee installation, refurbishment and maintenance of aeration lane systems.
·Conduct daily briefings, allocate tasks and monitor site progress.
·Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
·Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks and risk assessments.
·Maintain accurate site documentation, progress reports and permits.
·Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal project teams.
·Support commissioning, testing and project handovers.
·Assist with domestic servicing and installation work when required.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
·SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
·NVQ Level 2 or above in a relevant construction, utilities or engineering discipline.
·Previous experience supervising small to medium-sized site teams.
·A strong focus on health and safety and delivering high-quality workmanship.
·Experience within the water, utilities or mechanical installation sectors.
·A full UK driving licence.
·Excellent communication and leadership skills.
·A willingness to work away from home on occasion.
Desirable:
·Experience working on aeration lane systems or wastewater treatment sites.
·Confined Space qualification.
·Mechanical engineering or process engineering background.
·Knowledge of WIMES standards.
