Site SupervisorAnnual Salary: £25,949 (£16.35ph during initial contract)Location: South LancasterJob Type: Full-timeStart Date: September 1st, 2026We are seeking a dedicated Site Supervisor to join our team at a local school. This role is crucial for maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of the school premises. The successful candidate will start with an initial 12-week trial period, with the potential for permanent employment and inclusion in the LCC pension scheme thereafter.Day-to-day of the role:Act as a key holder, carrying out security procedures for the buildings and grounds, including routine and non-routine opening.Respond to calls outside normal working hours as a result of break-ins or alarms.Provide access to the premises and classrooms in the event of snow, minor flooding, or similar emergency situations.Handle enquiries from officers and employees of the Local Education Authority, workers, and contractors, and advise the Headteacher of their presence when appropriate.Supervise cleaning staff to ensure that all areas of the school are maintained to a high standard.Required Skills and Qualifications:Experience in a supervisory or facilities management role.Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations.Strong communication skills to effectively deal with staff, contractors, and local authority representatives.Capable of physical tasks associated with opening and securing large buildings and grounds.Reliable and responsible, with ..... full job details .....
