Site Supervisor / Senior Site Supervisor (Local Highways) Location: Bexhill, East Sussex Rate: £320 - £380 per day (Supervisor) £380 - £450 per day (Senior Supervisor) Payment Model: CIS Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6 Months+ Project Overview We are recruiting for experienced Site Supervisors and Senior Site Supervisors to oversee various local highway infrastructure schemes based out of Bexhill, East Sussex. Projects range from smaller high-volume schemes (£200k - £500k) such as cycleways and junction improvements, through to major highway civil packages (£2m - £5m) including dual carriageways and roundabout construction. Works cover pure infrastructure delivery-including excavation, reinstatement, surfacing, kerbing, paving, drainage, street furniture, and civil engineering installations. Key Responsibilities Site Management: Oversee day-to-day operations on site, briefing labor teams and directing specialised supply chain subcontractors. Digital Site Controls: Manage site reporting, log site diaries, issue Permits to Dig, and review digital project documents using a tablet/laptop. Safety and Permits: Conduct site inductions, deliver daily briefings, review RAMS, issue safe system permits, and enforce zero-harm standards. Temporary Works Awareness: Maintain ongoing vigilance over active site areas to identify and report any temporary works defects or risks.
