Highway Supervisor - Civil Engineering

We are a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering high-quality highway and infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Highway Supervisor to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in highways and civil engineering to play a key role in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

As a Highway Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and in accordance with project specifications.

• Supervise site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Plan and coordinate daily site activities.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Monitor project progress and report to the Site Manager/Contracts Manager.
• Ensure labour, plant and materials are used efficiently.
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders as required.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

You will have:

• Previous experience supervising highway or civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of highway construction, drainage, kerbing, surfacing and associated works.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• A proactive approach to problem solving.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

• SSSTS or SMSTS
• CSCS Supervisor or Manager Card

• NRSWA Supervisor
• First Aid at Work
• Temporary Traffic Management knowledge
• Experience working on National Highways or Local Authority contracts
