This is a Site Services Engineer role where you’ll be trusted to get stuck in, make improvements, and help keep a busy manufacturing site running like it should. No clipboard-wielding middle managers breathing down your neck. Just proper engineering, the way it should be.
What you’ll be doing:- Keeping boilers, AHUs, chillers, compressors, water systems, steam kit and site utilities running without drama
- Playing a key part in infrastructure improvements, energy-saving projects, and making sure the site doesn’t grind to a halt
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults (and ideally fixing them too – radical, we know)
- Keeping everything safe, legal, and audit-proof – the usual H&S and compliance bits
- Working alongside other engineers and contractors who know what they’re doing
- Solid background in site services, facilities or utilities maintenance – ideally in food/FMCG/manufacturing
- You know your HVAC from your chilled water, and your steam systems from your compressed air
- Relevant quals in mechanical or electrical (NVQ/C&G/HNC/etc.)
- You’re proactive, self-sufficient, and not someone who waits for a machine to explode before raising a flag
- Able to talk to humans (contractors, colleagues, even the occasional manager)
- The site’s growing, investment is flowing, and engineering is taken seriously here
- You’ll get exposure to some proper kit – and your ideas will actually be listened to
