Site Service Engineer

Zenith are proud to be working with our client who are a leading North East Manufacturer & supplier looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Field Service Engineer to look after their equipment Nationwide.  This will involve travelling to several locations across the UK and your base will be in the North East. 

The main function of this role will be to work on site to manage projects specifically related and not limited to: Refurbishment, Test, and Commissioning of our client's on-site equipment. 

You will be responsible for will providing technical support to Customers, Projects Warranty and Quality Control. There may also be a requirement to assist the Engineering team with R&D and Product Development tasks.

Duties include:- 

• Perform site work tasks including but not limited to, installation, site test, maintenance, warranty and service either directly or through site services supervisors, site services engineers or sub-contractors.
• Perform or assist in the repair and modifications of equipment at the customers installations both in the UK and abroad.
• Carry out and or provides technical instructions to site service supervisors/engineers sub-contractors regarding the installation, operations, repair and maintenance of equipment at customer installation.
• Maintain site service records and reports on all service assignments and departmental activities.
• Perform site testing, maintenance, and installation service and repair projects.
• Carry out and organises testing of equipment at site and factory.
• Understand and accept company policy with regards travel allowance and subsistence and recognises that some weekend overtime working will be required.
• Pricing and preparing quotations.
• Compiles RAMS and Site visit surveys.
• Act as the main Point of contact for customers ensuring smooth transition of work.
• Supervisor/client training.

The Person we are looking for

• IT Literate - Confident user in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Salesforce is highly desirable
• A good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace essential
• Supervisory skills preferred
• Good Communication Skills both written and verbal and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering Degree/HNC/HND
• SSSTS Preferable to work on site but not essential

Additional 

In addition to a competitive salary, our client will also provide a Company Vehicle and regular overtime is available.  This will require working some weekends and we are looking for flexible candidates who are comfortable with travelling across the UK.
