About the Role
Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is seeking a Site Operative to join their team in Inveresk. This full-time position offers £12.71 per hour on an initial two-week contract. Working hours follow a rotating shift pattern from Monday to Friday, requiring availability for 06:00–14:30, 09:00–17:30, and 11:30–20:00 shifts. The role involves sorting food waste to remove contamination, conducting general cleaning duties including pressure washing, operating the weighbridge computer system for vehicle logging, and reporting any faults or health and safety concerns to management. Candidates should be reliable, punctual, and comfortable with manual work, while maintaining strict adherence to health and safety procedures at all times.

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Working Hours
Monday to Friday on a rotating shift basis. You must be able to work all three shifts:
- 06:00 – 14:30
- 09:00 – 17:30
- 11:30 – 20:00
- Sort food waste to remove contamination before it enters the processing system
- Carry out general cleaning duties across the site, including pressure washing where required
- Operate the weighbridge computer system to log vehicles entering and leaving the site
- Report any issues, faults, or health and safety concerns to management promptly
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing tasks to a high standard
- Comfortable carrying out manual work and being on your feet throughout the shift
- Able to maintain cleanliness across the site and identify potential issues
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude
- Willing to take initiative and support with a variety of tasks as required
- Able to follow instructions carefully and communicate issues clearly
