Site Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Officer to join a thriving primary school in Thetford.The school is committed to high standards, strong values and creating an environment where every child can feel safe, supported and able to thrive.The RoleAs Site Officer, you will play an important role in ensuring the school site, buildings and facilities are maintained to a safe and high standard. You will work closely with the wider school team, helping to ensure the site operates effectively and provides a welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Unlocking the siteCheck the heating / water works on arrivalGritting pathways in adverse weatherSweeping leavesGeneral maintenance changing light bulbs, fixing door handles, etcPut bins outHelp unload deliveries and put in the stockroomUpdate the computer system with site checks Monday to Friday7am to 3:25pm (1 hour lunch)37 hours per weekAbout YouThe successful candidate will have: Previous experience in a maintenance or site-based roleA relevant technical or vocational qualification is desirableExcellent organisational and time management skillsConfidence using IT systems and softwareKnowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance is desirableA proactive and practical approach to maintaining a safe and well-presented environmentA strong commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of children Contract Personnel are one of East Anglia s longest-standing, ..... full job details .....
