Mechanical Site Manager Laboratory Refurbishment Location: Southampton Start: Mid-September Rate: £300 per day CIS Duration: Several months The Opportunity I am currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading global Facilities Management and Real Estate organisation on a laboratory refurbishment and relocation programme in Southampton. The project is due to start in mid-September and is expected to run for several months. The works will involve decanting existing laboratories, refurbishing laboratory spaces and coordinating the relocation of equipment and services. We are specifically looking for somebody local to Southampton who has previous experience managing laboratory refurbishment projects and technically complex MandE works. Project Scope The works will include: AHU and ductwork modifications Testing and commissioning of ventilation systems Medical gas pipeline installations Laboratory equipment moves and relocations Fabric fit-out, including laboratory benching Fire alarm modifications Gas alarm modifications Electrical works Dehumidification systems BMS works Coordination of specialist subcontractors and laboratory stakeholders The Role As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the works, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required programme and quality standards.
