Site Manager

About the Role We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Site Manager to lead a 6.2m new-build self-storage facility project in Ashford, Surrey. Running under a JCT Design and Build contract, the project involves a steel frame structure, composite metal cladding, full internal fit-out, external works, and managing specific BAPA (Network Rail) constraints. While this role begins on this 56-week scheme, we are looking for a strong Site Manager to join our team long-term to support ongoing commercial projects across our main operational regions. Permanent employment is strongly preferred, though a long-term self-employed (CIS) contract route will be considered for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Day-to-day management of site operations, subcontractors, and direct labor. Ensuring full compliance with health and safety, quality, and program milestones. Managing site logistics, materials, and specialized site constraints (including Network Rail/BAPA protocols). Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintaining clear site documentation. Coordinating directly with project managers, commercial teams, and external stakeholders. Essential Requirements Qualifications: Valid SMSTS, First Aid at Work, Asbestos Awareness, and Temporary Works Coordinator certs. An Enhanced DBS (EDBS) is required (or willingness to undergo one for future educational projects).
