Site Manager Contract Position Location: Faringdon, OxfordshireJob Type: Contract Full-Time hoursStart date: November 2026Duration: 50 weeksSalary: £280 - £290 per dayCompany Overview We are looking for a Freelance Site Manager to oversee the construction of a new build school in Faringdon, Oxfordshire. This role involves working closely with the Project Manager and utilising the support of an Assistant Site Manager to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.Key Responsibilities Manage all onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site operatives, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.Monitor progress against the project programme and communicate updates to the Project Manager regularly.Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality control and resolve any onsite issues promptly.Manage site resources effectively, including materials, plant, and labour allocation to maintain productivity and cost efficiency.Ensure all site documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and site diaries, are accurately maintained and up to date.Promote best practise in sustainable construction methods and environmental management relevant to educational new builds.Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and local authorities to facilitate smooth project delivery.Lead toolbox talks and ..... full job details .....
