About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven Freelance Construction Site Manager to take charge of an intensive, high-profile 18-week hotel refurbishment project in central Manchester.

As the freelance lead on site, you will operate autonomously to drive day-to-day operations, ensuring the fast-track refurbishment is delivered safely, on schedule, and to exceptional hospitality standards. You will manage all on-site coordination, sub-contractors, and quality control while serving as the primary link between our project management team and the site workforce.

Key Responsibilities
o Program Delivery: Take full control of the 18-week construction schedule, hitting critical milestones and managing phase handovers.
o Health & Safety Management: Enforce rigorous health and safety standards on site, including inductions, RAMS implementation, and regular safety audits.
o Trade & Sub-Contractor Coordination: Oversee all on-site trades and specialist sub-contractors to maximize productivity and eliminate bottlenecks.
o Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous inspections to ensure all fixtures, finishes, and structural modifications meet luxury hotel specifications.
o Stakeholder Communication: Provide transparent progress updates, cost-saving insights, and delay mitigation strategies to our project directors.
o Site Logistics: Manage tight city-centre material deliveries, storage, and waste management efficiently.

Requirements & Qualifications
o Freelance Experience: Proven track record working as a freelance or interim Site Manager on commercial, residential, or hospitality refurbishment projects.
o Essential Certifications: * Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
o CSCS Card (Black or Gold Manager card)
o First Aid at Work certification
o Commercial Awareness: Strong understanding of contract management, variation tracking, and minimizing project downtime.
