Site Manager - ResidentialLocation: sites across Essex including Braintree, Chelmsford and Colchester Salary: £70-£75k Contract Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the Role We re seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a new housing development. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for delivering high-quality homes safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining excellent communication with the client, subcontractors, and the wider project team.Key Responsibilities Manage all site activities to ensure work is completed safely, to specification, on schedule, and to a high standard. Supervise and coordinate trades, subcontractors, and suppliers. Conduct daily site inspections and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies. Monitor progress against programme and report regularly to the Contracts/Project Manager. Manage site documentation, including RAMS, QA checks, and site diaries. Maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and local authorities. Ensure a clean, organised, and compliant site at all times. About You Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential housing projects (ideally new build). Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Strong knowledge of building regulations, NHBC standards, and construction best practices. Ability to manage multiple trades and drive progress under tight deadlines.
