Site Manager
Job Title: Site Manager with Telehandler Ticket
Location: Ashford, Kent
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, standalone Contract Site Manager for an immediate start to oversee a 10-unit residential new-build development in Ashford.
This is a fast-paced contract role running the site from the current phase through to completion. Because this is a compact, efficient footprint, we need a manager who can seamlessly bridge the gap between high-level site management and daily logistics-meaning you must be legally ticketed and willing to operate the telehandler to keep materials moving and subcontractors productive.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations on the 10-unit residential scheme, ensuring strict adherence to the build program, quality standards, and deadlines.
Coordinate, schedule, and manage subcontractors, material deliveries, and site logistics.
Maintain absolute health and safety compliance, including site inductions, daily logs, RAMS reviews, and tool-box talks.
Operate the on-site telehandler safely for unloading, material distribution, and general site logistics as required.
Serve as the primary on-site contact for building control, NHBC/inspectors, and the visiting Project Director.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications: Valid SMSTS or SSSTS is mandatory.
Plant Ticket: A valid Telehandler Ticket (CPCS or NPORS) is strictly essential.
Valid CSCS Card and First Aid at Work.
Experience: Proven track record running small-to-medium residential new-build developments as a standalone manager.
Commutable to Ashford, Kent, and able to commit to the full duration of the contract.
To Apply
If you are an organized, proactive contractor with the right blend of management skills and machine tickets, we want to hear from you.
