Freelance Roofing Site Manager

Location: Manchester

Rate: -270 - -300 per day

We are urgently seeking an experienced Site Manager to take the lead on a major commercial roofing project in Manchester. You will be the number one on-site, responsible for driving the programme, managing sub-contractors, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily site operations, logistics, and lifting operations.

• Manage and coordinate specialist roofing subcontractors and trades.

• Enforce strict Health & Safety protocols, including RAMS, inductions, and toolbox talks.

• Conduct quality inspections, manage snagging, and report progress to the Project Manager.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven track record managing commercial roofing projects (flat, pitched, or cladding systems).

• Valid SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and First Aid at Work.

• Strong ability to read technical drawings and resolve on-site issues proactively.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
