SITE MANAGER

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of construction/build projects from pre-construction to handover
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
• Coordinate and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and resource allocation
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders
• Resolve on-site issues, delays, and technical challenges promptly
• Prepare progress reports and communicate updates to senior management
• Ensure all work is completed according to specifications and contractual requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in construction, engineering, or project/build management
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Good understanding of health & safety legislation (e.g., CDM Regulations in the UK)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asta Powerproject, or similar)

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIOB, PMP) are advantageous
• Valid CSCS card or equivalent (depending on region)
