SITE MANAGER - STEELWORK / CONSTRUCTION Location: Leicestershire Salary: Up to £50k (DOE) We are working with an established engineering and construction business that is looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee steelwork installation activities and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. This is a hands-on role combining office-based project coordination with regular site attendance. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities, labour and subcontractors, helping ensure projects are completed on programme, within budget and in line with current legislation and best practice. The Role As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing site installation activities and managing the workforce and subcontract labour. Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out site surveys and accurately recording measurements for the design/detailing team. Attending pre-start visits to assess access, working areas, datum levels and setting-out requirements. Preparing and maintaining RAMS and carrying out site audits. Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and team briefings. Managing site activities against programme, budget, quality and safety requirements. Supervising subcontractors and specialist trades. Managing snagging and supporting project close-out. Maintaining site records, daily diaries, photographic records and project documentation.
