Site Manager

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Site Manager with a strong background in the UK rail sector to oversee multidisciplinary rail infrastructure projects. Working for a leading contractor, you will take total ownership of daily site operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery from inception to handover. A core component of this role involves managing and coordinating complex temporary works on site, ensuring full compliance with design specifications and CDM regulations. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day site operations, logistics, sequencing, and subcontractor activities in a live rail environment. Act as the key operational link for temporary works, ensuring temporary works procedures are strictly implemented, monitored, and coordinated with designers and subcontractors. Drive robust health and safety standards, conducting site inductions, safety tours, and ensuring compliance with Network Rail / Sentinel PTS standards. Maintain accurate site records, diaries, permits, quality inspection data, and progress reports. Coordinate closely with civil engineering, permanent works designers, and external stakeholders. Rate: £400 - £500 per day inside IR35 Key Requirements and Qualifications Proven minimum 3 5 years of site management experience within the rail and civil engineering sectors.
