Freelance Site Manager – CAT B Commercial Office Fit-Out

• Rate: £290 - £315 per day (CIS)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading Design & Build fit-out contractor, delivering a high-quality CAT B commercial office fit-out in the City of London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of work across London, offering the potential for further freelance assignments upon successful completion of the project.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a live CAT B office fit-out, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the visiting Project Manager, you will coordinate site activities, manage subcontractors and maintain excellent relationships with the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of a live CAT B commercial office fit-out.
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades on site.
• Drive the construction programme and ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Maintain exceptional health & safety standards throughout the project.
• Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and quality inspections.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure all works are completed to a high standard.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, consultants and client representatives.
• Produce daily site records and progress updates.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing CAT B commercial office fit-out projects.
• Previous experience working for a Design & Build fit-out contractor is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of commercial interiors and fast-track programmes.
• SMSTS, Black or Gold CSCS Card and First Aid at Work.
