Site Manager Earthworks and Drainage Project Location: Leiston, Suffolk Contract: Temporary to Permanent Rate: Up to £350 per day Project Value: Approximately £5 million We are currently recruiting an experienced Site Manager to join an established earthworks contractor based in Ipswich. The successful candidate will oversee a £5 million drainage project near Leiston, involving a mixture of deep and shallow drainage works, earthworks and associated groundworks. The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the project, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, within budget and in line with the construction programme. Role and Responsibilities Take responsibility for the daily management and successful delivery of the project. Manage deep and shallow drainage, earthworks and associated groundworks. Coordinate site labour, subcontractors, plant and materials. Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, inspections and daily briefings. Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements. Monitor progress against the construction programme and address any potential delays. Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors and senior management.
