Site Manager

Freelance Site Manager – Windows & Doors 
Location: Tunbridge
Contract Type: Freelance 
Duration: Ongoing 
Start Date: Early April

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations for the windows and doors installation package.
• Coordinate subcontractors and installation teams to ensure works are delivered efficiently and in line with the programme.
• Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations, site procedures, and company standards.
• Monitor quality of installation works and ensure compliance with project specifications and drawings.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and progress meetings with subcontractors.
• Liaise with the main contractor, project managers, and other site teams to maintain smooth site operations.
• Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, progress reports, and H&S documentation.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues to minimise delays and maintain productivity.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or Package Manager on window and door installation schemes (ideally within social housing or public sector projects).
• Strong knowledge of site health & safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades on site.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification.
• Experience working on refurbishment or social infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
