Site Manager

Ivy Resource Group are working with a well-established main contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a permanent role based in Gloucester. You will be managing a range of commercial projects in their General Works Department. They have been in business for over 50 years and work across a variety of sectors, including: Commercial, Leisure, Education, Healthcare and Retail. The Role:Managing the day-to-day running of the construction site.Taking overall responsibility for health and safety on site.Carrying out site inductions, daily briefings and toolbox talks.Approving risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).Monitoring that safe systems of work are being followed.Carrying out daily and weekly health and safety checks.Managing and coordinating site employees and subcontractors.Monitoring the progress of the project against the construction programme.Ensuring work is completed on time and to the required quality.Keeping accurate site records and documentation.Having a good understanding of project finances and costs.Liaising with the client, architect, engineers and designers.Identifying and resolving problems or delays that arise during construction.
