Site Manager

We''re currently looking to recruit an experienced-Site Manager-to oversee a-school refurbishment project-in Selston, Nottinghamshire.

Working for a respected principal contractor, you''ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.

This is-not-a paperwork-heavy Site Manager role. We''re looking for someone with a-strong trades background-who is happy to take a practical, hands-on approach. You''ll be overseeing a small team of subcontractors while also assisting with the works whenever required to keep the project progressing.

The Role

The project consists of refurbishment, structural remediation and minor civils works on a school, including:

• Structural remediation
• Minor brickwork and blockwork
• Formwork
• Small civils works
• Exploratory and opening-up works
• General refurbishment works

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the site.
• Coordinate subcontractors and daily site activities.
• Ensure health & safety standards are maintained.
• Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks.
• Maintain RAMS, permits and site documentation.
• Liaise with the Contracts Manager, client and subcontractors.
• Monitor quality and programme.
• Support the site team with practical works where required.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager.
• Trade background such as Joinery, Bricklaying, Groundworks, General Building or similar.
• SMSTS.
• CSCS Card.
• First Aid at Work.
• Experience delivering refurbishment, structural remediation or small civils projects.
• Experience working on education projects is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Willing to adopt a hands-on approach throughout the project.
