Your new company You''ll be joining a leading national contractor with a strong track record of delivering secure public sector projects across the UK. Known for their professionalism and collaborative approach, they are currently delivering a short-term mechanical upgrade scheme on a live government site in South Gloucestershire. The project involves heating system improvements and asbestos removal, requiring careful coordination and compliance with strict site protocols. Your new role As Site Manager, you''ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of the works, ensuring health and safety standards are upheld and that the programme is delivered on time and within budget. You''ll manage subcontractors, liaise with the client and site security teams, and ensure all documentation and permits are in place.Key responsibilities include:Managing radiator replacement works and associated mechanical upgradesOverseeing licenced asbestos removal in designated areasEnsuring compliance with secure site procedures and able to achieve BPSS clearance Coordinating trades and maintaining site recordsReporting progress to the Project Manager and client representativesThis is a daytime role with no night shifts, running for approximately 12-14 weeks from early January 2026.What you''ll need to succeed You''ll need previous experience working on secure government sites - ideally within the justice sector - and be confident managing short-term refurbishment or MandE packages.
