Salary and Package -50,000 - -60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus company van, fuel card, pension, annual leave and additional benefits.

Location - Teesside, Darlington areas-with travel to sites across the region.

About the Role

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of groundworks and civil engineering projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule and to specification.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing site operations from commencement through to completion
  • Supervising groundworks activities including foundations, drainage, roads, sewers, kerbing and external works
  • Leading site teams, subcontractors and plant operations
  • Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained at all times
  • Coordinating labour, plant and material requirements to keep projects running efficiently
  • Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management
  • Carrying out site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings
  • Liaising with clients, engineers, utility providers and local authorities

To be successful, you should have:

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager within groundworks or civil engineering
  • Strong knowledge of residential infrastructure and housing development projects
  • Experience managing drainage, foundations, roads, sewers and external works
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS Managers Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Temporary Works Coordinator, NRSWA Supervisor, CPCS or NPORS qualifications and IOSH or NEBOSH certification would be advantageous but are not essential.
