Site Manager

Force Contracting Services are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Kilmarnock. The project is due to commence in mid-September 2026 and is expected to run for approximately 2 years, with a significant civil engineering package. The successful candidate will have a strong civil engineering background, relevant experience working on BESS sites, and be confident managing day-to-day site operations. Scope of Works: Enabling works Site preparation Earthworks Drainage Access roads Hardstanding Equipment foundations Fencing foundations Ducting and trenching Reinstatement All associated civil works required to provide a complete and operational BESS site Responsibilities: Manage daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors, site teams, labour, plant and materials. Plan and sequence construction activities, monitoring progress against the programme and working closely with the Project Manager and Site Engineers. Ensure works are delivered in accordance with RAMS, drawings, specifications and required quality standards. Monitor workmanship, resolve construction issues and maintain accurate site records and progress reports. Maintain high standards of health and safety throughout the works, supporting completion, snagging and handover.
