As well as competitive pay rates, you will be entitled to a range of benefits including discount vouchers for restaurants, cinemas, retail outlets, healthcare and much more as well as pension, enhanced family leave, childcare discounts, employeeassistanceprogramme and much more!About the role:This leadership role will see youbeing responsible forthe effective management of the site through the leadership, motivation, and development of the team so that the site runsin accordance withthe operational core values and principles of the company.Participate in development and ensure implementation of warehouse and ground operations strategy to provide smooth operations for movement and storage and to meet cost, quality, customer, and market-specific requirements in line with the business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines, and policies.Key Role Responsibilities:Contribute to define warehouse and manual handling strategy in line with business strategy and requirements, corporateguidelinesandpoliciesEnsure development and implementation of warehouse and manual handling plans,budgetsandmeasuresEnsure implementation of safety/ security to ensure goods equipment are safelyoperated, and properlymaintainedandstoredMonitoring site and people performance, including performance managementprocessesProviding of the financial forecasting for the siteResponsible for the monthly payroll report to ensure correct salary payments are made and notifying of anyanomaliesReview existing operation performance, data, and facilities toidentifyeffective distribution and transportation patterns forproductsExamine effectiveness of operating procedures, spaceutilizationand protection of equipment, and make recommendations forimprovementsStudy issues,determineopportunities and introduce best practices for warehouse and manual handling methods and techniques focusing on promoting efficiency, faster service, and lowercostsDevelop strong, trusting relationships with business leaders acrossDHLManage experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence inassignmentsThe ideal candidate will have:We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and leadership skills who will be able to motivate and develop the site and build on its position within our network.Ideally the successful applicant will hold their CPC qualification in transport andlogisticsand be able to provide evidence of:Previousmanagerial experience within a warehouse environmentExperience in the Parcel industry an advantagePreviousexperience of budgetary controlExcellent leadership skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentWhat about career development?We take every employee’s career seriously and believe in realising their full potential.
