Site Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a water treatment project in Manchester. This is a key site leadership role working with an established civil engineering contractor delivering works within a live and regulated water environment.

Site Manager Role & Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day operations on a water treatment site

• Supervising site teams, subcontractors, and direct labour

• Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements

• Leading health & safety on site and ensuring full compliance with HSEQ standards

• Delivering daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions

• Coordinating plant, materials, and workforce resources

• Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Agents, and Engineers

• Monitoring site progress and reporting on programme performance

• Managing site documentation and quality records

Site Manager Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on water or wastewater treatment projects

• Strong background in civil engineering works within the utilities sector

• SMSTS qualification

• Valid CSCS card

• First Aid at Work (preferred)

• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
