Site Manager

We are seeking an experienced Night Site Manager to oversee a major retail fit out project in Watford. This is a -multi-million refurbishment and fit out of a large, multi-storey retail store, with works heavily focused on interiors, services, and fast-paced delivery to strict deadlines.

The contractor delivering this scheme is a long-established main contractor with a strong reputation in the UK for managing complex retail, commercial, and refurbishment projects. They specialise in delivering high-quality fit out and refurbishment schemes for leading retail brands, often working in live environments.

The Role:
As Night Site Manager, you will be responsible for supervising all site activities during night shifts, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with subcontractors, project managers, and the wider team to drive the project through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate site operations during night shifts.

• Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

• Monitor progress against programme and ensure deadlines are achieved.

• Provide daily updates and reporting to the Contracts/Project Manager.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale retail fit out projects (essential).

• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing in fast-track retail environments.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications.

• Ability to work independently as the lead site manager on night shifts.
