Overview:
We''re partnering with a respected and growing civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager for key projects across the Edinburgh region.
This is a hands-on site leadership role, ideal for a candidate with a strong background in groundworks and infrastructure delivery within live or logistically sensitive environments. The successful individual will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day operations ensuring safe, timely, and quality-driven project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all on-site activities, supervising trades, subcontractors, and site personnel.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and in line with company quality and safety standards.
Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and client representatives to ensure clear communication and smooth operations.
Oversee site logistics, materials, and resource planning.
Maintain rigorous site health & safety compliance, including tool box talks, site inductions, and risk assessments.
Conduct regular progress meetings, track project milestones, and report to senior management.
Manage permits, inspections, and handover documentation.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience in a Site Manager role within civil engineering, ideally with a focus on education or public sector projects.
Strong understanding of groundworks, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure packages.
