Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a short-term project in Hereford. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of works. A key focus of this role will be delivering the AOV programme and supervising the window installation programme.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety

  • Implement HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality) and business systems.

  • Ensure the delivery team has all relevant PPE and carry out regular checks.

  • Confirm that appropriate signage is displayed across the site.

  • Maintain a safe environment for tenants and the public.

  • Ensure site welfare facilities are maintained at the end of each working day.

Project Management & Delivery

  • Undertake initial project brief with Management to plan works, phasing, and programme.

  • Gather all client information (drawings, specifications, etc.) to prepare works.

  • Produce short-term schedules aligned with the master programme.

  • Identify and request materials, liaising with the office to place orders.

  • Oversee quality of works, ensuring completion on time and to required standards.

  • Carry out weekly stock takes and produce weekly progress reports.

  • Support delivery of service KPIs and key reporting requirements.

Managing Others

  • Organise workflow and delegate duties to employees and subcontractors.

  • Monitor performance and provide feedback, coaching, and support where needed.

  • Set goals and deadlines aligned with company plans and communicate clearly to the team.

  • Support project delivery with administrative tasks as required.

  • Ensure adherence to legal and company policies, undertaking disciplinary action if required.

  • Promote high standards of housekeeping, PPE use, and communication in occupied and void properties.

Representation

  • Ensure compliance with company processes and contractual obligations.

  • Maintain a professional image on site at all times.

  • Promote quality assurance, customer service excellence, and responsiveness.

  • Actively engage with clients and represent the business at meetings, open days, and events.

  • Support wider community initiatives, business development, and customer care when required.

Requirements

  • SMSTS

  • CSCS

  • First Aid

  • Fire Warden

  • Asbestos Awareness

  • NVQ in a trade background (desirable)
