ABOUT THE COMPANY

A specialist Construction, Joinery , Fit-Out, and Manufacturing business.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are managed in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner, in line with Health & Safety policies and procedures, and constructed in accordance with contractual requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and manage all works on site.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise all site personnel, including subcontractors and site labour.
  • Monitor and review project progress in line with the programme, providing regular progress reports to management.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and other personnel to ensure adequate site resourcing.
  • Hold and document weekly subcontractor meetings.
  • Collaborate with the design team on construction-related matters.
  • Work with the procurement team to manage material orders and deliveries.
  • Prepare regular site reports for management.
  • Maintain strong client liaison throughout the project to ensure expectations are met.
  • Uphold the highest quality standards at all times.
  • Deliver toolbox talks when required.
  • Resolve day-to-day issues promptly to maintain the programme.
  • Communicate regularly with the commercial and operational teams regarding progress and changes.
  • Operate in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential:

  • Significant recent experience in a fast-paced construction , joinery or fit-out environment, demonstrating the ability to meet demanding project requirements.
  • Proven track record managing site teams within a construction/fit-out setting.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices, with the ability to review designs and identify cost-saving measures.
  • Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation relevant to the construction industry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach to work.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and meeting compliance requirements.
  • CSR/CSCS card holder, with relevant certificates such as First Aid and SMSTS.
