The role & about the client:
On behalf of our client, ITS Construction Professionals South are recruiting for a Site Manager to join a reputable fast past main contractor based in Portsmouth with ongoing work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing construction project
- Leading a team and ensuring high quality project delivery
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed on site
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance and by company HSE policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox talks and risk assessments
- To be efficient with logging and recording the project progress
- Ensure works are delivered to the required specifications and standards
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures
- Maintain accurate records for inspections, snagging and handover
- Coordinate and supervise all subcontractors and direct labour
- Ensure clear scope of work and sequencing is understood by everyone
- Oversee material deliveries, ensuring timing, quality and quantity are correct
- Report and record progress and issues to the Project Manager or Contract Manager
- Maintain site records and ensure compliance with document control procedures
- Be the lead point of contact for all site operations
- Proven experience as a Site Manager
- Proven experience working with a Tier 1 contractor
- Able to easily use technology
- Experience using FieldView
- Strong knowledge of construction process, safety procedures and relevant regulations
- To be hands on and working on site
- Ability to problem solve and manage multiple tasks
- Strong quality assurance
- Hands on experience
- Relevant tickets- SMSTS and First Aid
