Site Manager

Job Title: Freelance Site Manager 
Location: Bromley 
Duration: 3-4 months 
Day Rate: £240 - £260 per day depending on experience 
Start Date: 8th September 2025 

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to assist in the delivery of a social housing scheme focused on the construction of sustainable homes, with a strong understanding of reactive maintenance operations. You will play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to high quality standards, in line with both client expectations and environmental targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour on-site

• Oversee the construction of sustainable housing units from groundworks to handover

• Implement and monitor reactive maintenance solutions for existing properties

• Ensure project milestones are met within budget and time constraints

• Liaise with stakeholders including clients, residents, consultants, and the wider project team

• Maintain site documentation and reporting

• Champion environmental and sustainable best practices on site

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within social housing construction

• Strong knowledge of sustainable construction methods, including low-carbon technologies and energy efficiency standards

• Experience managing reactive maintenance within residential schemes

• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certified

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades on a busy site

• IT-literate with experience in site reporting tools (e.g. Fieldview, Procore, etc.)

Desirable

• Background in retrofit projects or Passivhaus-standard builds

• Knowledge of local authority housing standards and compliance
