Site Manager
Industry: Civils – Water – United Utilities
Contract Type: Freelance – 12 month project
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee and manage site operations specialising in CSO tanks, deep drainage, and general groundworks on a United Utilities site. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising labour, plant, and materials to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will lead site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies, while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and local authorities. The position demands a hands-on approach to site management with a focus on delivering infrastructure works related to drainage and groundworks within the utilities sector.
Skills:
- Proven experience managing site operations for CSO tanks and deep drainage projects
- Strong knowledge of general groundworks techniques
- Ability to manage labour, plant, and materials efficiently
- Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance
- Experience working on United Utilities sites or similar utility infrastructure projects
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills
- Budget management and cost control awareness
- Ability to perform site inspections and quality checks
- Competent in producing site reports and documentation
