Site Manager - Distribution Centre Fit-Out Projects
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of fit-out and refurbishment projects within large-scale distribution centres and logistics facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and proven experience managing fast-paced industrial or logistics fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities
-Manage day-to-day site operations for distribution centre fit-out projects.
-Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
-Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project programmes and specifications.
-Maintain strict adherence to health & safety regulations and company policies.
-Conduct site meetings, toolbox talks, and progress updates.
-Monitor project timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
-Resolve on-site issues quickly and efficiently.
-Liaise with clients, project managers, consultants, and stakeholders.
-Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
Requirements
-Proven experience as a Site Manager on large distribution centre or warehouse fit-out projects.
-Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management, and project coordination.
-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and workstreams.
-Excellent leadership and communication skills.
-Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Qualifications
-SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - Essential
-CSCS Card - Essential
-First Aid at Work - Preferred
-Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) - Desirable
