As the Small Works Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a single project/site. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage materials, and ensure that works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a strong background in construction management and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and trades.
- Plan and monitor programme of works to meet deadlines.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Maintain accurate site records, reporting progress to the Project Manager.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally in small works, refurbishment, or fit-out.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and health & safety regulations.
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification (essential).
- CSCS card (essential).
- First Aid at Work qualification (preferred).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate and coordinate subcontractors and trades.
