Site Manager

I''m supporting a leading main contractor with the appointment of a Site Manager on a permanent basis, working on a large, long-term construction programme.

This role is site-wide, with a strong civils bias, offering the opportunity to be involved in complex enabling, infrastructure, and groundworks packages within a highly regulated environment.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for managing sections of work across the wider site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day site-wide construction activities with a civils focus
• Maintaining the highest standards of health & safety at all times
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour, and plant
• Working closely with engineering, commercial, and planning teams
• Monitoring progress against programme and driving productivity
• Ensuring works are delivered to specification and quality standards
• Managing permits, RAMS, and compliance documentation
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-presented site

Experience & Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering / groundworks packages
• Background working for a main contractor on large or complex projects
• Strong understanding of temporary works, earthworks, drainage, and infrastructure
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential)
• Experience working in highly regulated environments is advantageous
