Location: Stevenage
Rate: £280 – £300 per day (CIS / Ltd)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: At least until December with possible extension to 2026
Hours: 07:30 – 16:30

The Role
4Site Recruitment are seeking an Site Manager to join a major internal fit-out project at a leading research and development hub in Stevenage. This position is focused on health & safety and compliance rather than direct management of installation or fit-out. You''d be working closely with the Senior Project Manager, taking ownership of site paperwork, permits and safety documentation, ensuring compliance and maintaining high standards across the project.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing RAMs and checklists

• Writing and issuing permits

• Delivering daily briefings, tool box talks, and inductions

• Overseeing health & safety compliance on site

• Liaising with trades, subcontractors, and project stakeholders

• Supporting overall site operations with a strong H&S focus

Project Details

• Internal fit out of a building within the facility 

• Software used: Procore, Outlook

Requirements

• SMSTS

• First Aid

• Black CSCS card

• Asbestos awareness and Fire Warden qualifications (desirable)

• Strong background in health & safety within construction
