INA Site Inspector
Location: Suffolk (On site with occasional remote working, and opportunity to discussing a more flexible or part-time approach where possible). Salary: C £65,000
A leading international Energy company is seeking a construction professional or civil engineer with significant experience in major multi-disciplinary projects, you will play a central role in ensuring one of the UK''s most significant energy infrastructure projects meets its safety and environmental obligations. Working as part of the Independent Nuclear Assurance (INA) team, you will provide independent oversight, challenge, and assurance across a wide range of site activities.  
You will assess and inspect all aspects of nuclear safety, conventional safety, environmental safety, emergency preparedness, and physical security. This role involves collaboration with internal project teams, external regulators, and stakeholders to help deliver a world-class nuclear facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk-informed inspections, reviews, and assessments across construction, safety, design, planning, and quality.
  • Provide independent oversight of site activities, including method statements, permitting, and access controls.
  • Monitor and challenge project teams to ensure compliance with national and international standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders to maintain a strong culture of safety, quality, and integrity.
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve substandard behaviours, practices, or risks.
What We''re Looking For
  • Strong knowledge of safety and construction standards.
  • Expertise in construction management across multi-discipline teams.
  • Experience in project scheduling, quality assurance, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with CDM regulations, contract management, and non-conformance management.
  • The ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards.
Experience in the nuclear sector or other high-hazard, regulated industries is a distinct advantage, along with a solid understanding of the UK regulatory environment.
