Site Health and Safety Advisor

Job SummaryTo successfully work with the Group HandS function to deliver and maintain a health and safety programme on site ensuring best practice, compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and approved codes of practice; to engage with and work productively with leadership roles across all aspects of the business to embed and drive a positive safety culture across the organisation, establish and maintain safe systems of work and a safe environment for all employees and visitors; to deliver associated underpinning health and safety management action plans and operational programmes ensuring risk management and reduction across the organisation. ResponsibilitiesThe Site Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for: Act as a subject matter expert to support the site on HandS topics. Support department managers to complete accident investigations within a 24hrs time frame.Challenge bad practice and implement corrective control measures with department leaders.Share and discuss HandS incidents and alerts from the group with local teams and management.Implement HandS improvement initiatives and practices to drive and improve HandS cultures.Develop, implement, and monitor HandS improvement plans.Support areas to ensure that HandS ownership remains with departments.You will lead or co-ordinate the development of HandS procedures and instructions to support the HandS management system.Support the Operations Team when internal and external agencies come to ..... full job details .....
