Site Foreman
Are you an experienced carpenter, joiner or exhibition stand builder who can do more than just work on the tools? Maybe you''re already supervising a workshop. Or perhaps you''re the experienced person everyone turns to when a job needs organising, a problem needs solving or the team needs pointing in the right direction. Either way, this could be a very good next move. We''re recruiting for an established business that designs and builds bespoke exhibition stands for clients across the UK and Europe. They need a hands-on Workshop Supervisor / Foreman to work alongside the Production Manager and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy workshop. This is not an office-based management job. You''ll still be involved in production carpentry yourself, but you''ll also be the person making sure everyone knows what they''re doing, materials are available, jobs are progressing and potential problems are spotted before they become expensive ones. What will you be doing? Supervising and supporting the workshop team Working hands-on with production carpentry Allocating work and keeping jobs moving through production Planning around upcoming projects and deadlines Checking drawings and production information before work starts Monitoring progress and identifying potential delays Making sure materials and stock are available when needed You''ll also get out of the workshop. The business installs exhibition stands at venues around the UK and occasionally Europe. ..... full job details .....
