This is a highly skilled maintenance role requiring strong mechanical expertise, fault-finding capability and the ability to respond quickly to breakdowns. Downtime on the shredder has a direct impact on production, revenue and operational efficiency, so technical competence and decisiveness are essential. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on the shredder and associated plant Diagnose mechanical faults quickly and implement effective repairs Respond to breakdowns as a priority to minimise operational downtime Conduct inspections and identify wear, damage or potential failure points Replace and repair components including bearings, shafts, hydraulics, motors and drive systems Liaise with the Shredder Manager regarding performance, downtime trends and required parts Maintain accurate maintenance records and job reports Ensure critical spares are identified and communicated Support continu...
